The One With BTLOG (night two)...

Well, BTLOG is finally over and done with this year for us at First Christian Church. The turnout was quite overwhelming for our church. I'm so glad my friends were able to be there to see the program. I'm really glad that my brother and Julie were able to come, too. Later on today, me and seven others will make our way to Jacksonville to see Andrew Peterson perform his version of BTLOG. I'm expecting to be blown away, yet once again. It's gonna be a great time of fellowship with people on the way there and back.

I'm pretty exhausted from this week and yet I still stay up this late. My brain must not be working properly these days. In anycase, I hope to have some sort of reflection of this year's BTLOG presentation and what I learned from it. It's not guaranteed, but hopefully whatever is churning inside of me will come out in prose form. I can, however, guarantee you that it's
an overhwelming mix of emotions that's captivated by community, joy, thankfulness, and hope. Life is good.

Being in the midst of this goodness and richness can bring a tear to any man. God, I love you. Thank you for Dad, Tony, Julie, my fellow brothers and sisters that shared the stage with me the two nights of BTLOG this week (Katherine and Howard, you guys are included, too), and for the friends who came out to see this little boy sing and play the holy rhythms about your Son. I'm so grateful for the people that were able to experience all of this with us through story and song this week. It's late. I'm tired. So off to an abbreviated slumber I go. Thank you, Yahweh. Continue to stay tuned for more...
