I've been out in La Quinta, CA, since Monday (July 24) for business. We put on a three-day conference for the National G.R.E.A.T. (Gang Resistance Education and Training) program, which consisted of close to 700 attendees. Two days prior to me arriving here, it was 122 degrees - the nights were just as pleasant at right around 90 degrees. It has been unseasonably humid here (40 - 50% as opposed to 10%), and all 41 pools on the property have had nothing but warm/hot water in them. How groovy!!!
Anyways, I'll have logged in around 65 hours of work when I clock out later on today. I took some pictures of my room, the surroundings to the beautiful resort and spa I stayed at (it's owned by the Waldorf folks), and my wonderful co-workers. It has been quite tiring these past few days, but I get to see my dad, Tony, and the rest of my family soon. We'll be heading up to Sequoia National Forest with the entire family for a few days, and then we'll all catch an Angels game. I apologize for the lack of substance in this entry (and the the ones that follow whilst I vacation in CA). But I shall attempt to post pics as time becomes available. Until then, stay tuned, fine folks...
