The One Where Life Is Still Good...

I suppose it's good that I have nothing compelling to write about. Life continues to be an amazing blessing. Here are some reasons why:
  1. Played in Wildwood Presbyterian Church's Third Annual Scramble Golf Tournament and finished fourth out of twenty-four teams. Thank you Brother Mike and MEDTECH Forensics (Janet and Melanie) for allowing me to play again this year. It was an honor to play mediocre yet enjoy the great fellowship and see how God grants mercy and grace on the golf course.
  2. It was First Christian Church's 72nd Anniversary yesterday, and the fellowship and food was incredible after service.
  3. I had two quality naps this weekend on our dilapidated couch. Murphy and I both snored. Holla!!!
  4. I fixed the Subie's squeaky AC belt. Only bad thing is I actually resorted to using the AC in May - argh...
  5. I got an amazing deal at Banana Republic. Bought my third pair of jeans for $20 when the original price was $78. Just a couple years ago, I wore jeans maybe once every few months (there's a story about me not wearing jeans - it has to do with me being in Kindergarten not knowing English; mom making me a sign so I could use the restroom; me forgetting it one day; and thus peeing in my white jeans and enjoying the rash that ensued). These days, I be wearing them once a week - sometimes maybe even twice. It helps that I'm not as fat as I once was, too.
  6. Howard and I went shopping for BBQ grills at Lowe's and Home Depot. We found the official FFV Grill. Its unveiling will be on June 3rd when we have the most amount of people ever at FFV for our annual summer BBQ/Applings' farewell party. Fellowship, food, and games - can't ask for anything better than that...
  7. In four days, I will be reunited with 7-Eleven's Slurpee and Nachos. The boys of FFV are making the trek down to Satellite Beach to see Howard's family, seeing our friend's newborn, and relieving LP's summer boredom.
  8. Getting excited to ride St. Mark's Trail again this summer with Mike, Janet, and Howard. I rode it back in Nov. '05, which was quite a personal accomplishment. It took me two hours to ride the entire thing (28 miles) and it beat the living mess out of me. I was so exhausted afterwards.
  9. Gonna see the Angels/A's game in Anaheim on July 31st with nine others from my family and extended family.
  10. And lastly, in the midst of my cyclical sins, God continues to forgive me and infuse me with His grace. It's been ten years since I accepted Christ into my life; and as I type this entry, I cannot remember a time or season in my life where I have felt so much peace and happiness. It's hard to describe, but I just know this is where I need to be right now. Happy, happy, happy...to be so free and light and to feel His absolute freedom.

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Amen...
