I guess I'm in a picture-posting mood these days. Other than providing endless memories for people, I believe a picture can often tell a wonderful story that evokes a multitude of emotions within its own space - resized or not. As some of you know, a group of us (Howard, Tony (my Chinese brother - not Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, or Russian), Julie (his VERY southern wife), and yours truly) left for a camping/white water rafting expedition in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina and Georgia this past weekend. There are still other pictures to post from the campsite, white water rafting, and other fun stuff. But for now, I thought I'd wet the appetite for some of you inquisitive folks out there with a few photographs. I'd like to extend a warm welcome and a manly handshake or hug to those brave souls who have somehow stumbled across this site (you know who you are). For those of you old-timers, thank you kindly and humbly for your continued viewing, reading, encouragement, support, and even comments. The rafting pics should come in the next week or so. And I still have to sort through the rest of my pics, along with my brother's. Once I get some time to sit and reflect, I'll post something worthwhile...with hopefully some meaning. So until that official entry comes, may these pictures and words suffice...
Truly free under Your great-big grace,
~KH
After a nine-hour trip to the campsite, and another hour into our set up time, we had enough of the German Hammer. There was a beautiful stream right beside us - maybe a dropoff of about six to seven feet? We figured he would look great in some cold water. I was barely amused as you can see...

OK, I officially look like my dad in this pic. In other news: the blue and gray tent in the background is the leaky-junky tent that Howard and I did NOT bundle together in. Sam Walton, why do you sell tents that aren't waterproof?!? I guess we'll never know. And beside me is Tony - I love you brother...

Here is the stream that ran beside our campsite. It was so soothing, wonderful, and amazing to see and hear it constantly...

Oh, just you wait until the other pics get posted, brother ;)
if the four of you went, who took the first picture?
Ahhh...
Great question Lynn. The combination of the picnic table, which you can see the blurry corner of, and the magic of self-timer ;)
