The One Out Of Left Field...

I'm gonna be honest with y'all, there's really not much goin' on in this head of mine as far as "deep" thoughts go, so grant me pardon as I throw out some random thoughts here:
  1. Laughing is good for the soul only if whatever I'm laughing at isn't prefaced by, "So this Neutron walks into a..."
  2. I yearn for a Slurpee and really wish 7-Elevens would infiltrate Tallahassee like Walgreens, CVS, and Publix have.
  3. Howard, my roommate and friend of over ten years, once weighed less than my right thigh and had the most ravishing hair style - even GQ magazine would be jealous of.
  4. I'm convinced my colleagues in the National Youth Gang Center are making me crazy (Joan Schinkel-Pratt comes to mind). But not to the point where I'll see "Brokeback Mountain." Fixedfront Valley in '06!!!
  5. I miss playing racquetball with Bruce - I'm getting old.
  6. Chris, please let me sing "Amazing Grace" at church William Hung style. If you do, I won't tell anyone that your wife carries questionable drugs in her purse...AND flashes people at Christian concerts.
  7. I missed our world-renowned bassist tonight due to a Tuba Recital. Priorities people!!!
  8. My brother likes playing Wiffle Ball with me on the weekends after we spin some wrenches and let out some testosterone.
  9. My cat Murphy might as well be the infamous cat at a Chinese restaurant prior to becoming "Chicken Lo Mein." Yes, he meows that loudly and miserably - EVERY stinkin' morning!!! I guess he's getting back at me for his neutering incident when he was young - sorry buddy.
  10. I think I finally know the names of the three CCF girls (Rae, Sarah, and Hillary) that I walk by regularly on my way to Chinese class. It only took one entire semester and then some. Very sad I know...
  11. If I died today, I would be so glad to have known a person with red hair. Her name is Janet Holland, and she is the most nicest person I know (most nicest - hahaha - I'm Chinese and Engrish is my second language).
  12. I can't wait until Friday. I get to have Kung Pao Chicken and Hot-n-Sour soup from Eastern. Lean Pockets Monday thru Thursday isn't the most fulfilling of lunches.
  13. Lastly, I can't believe I just ruined all of my previous entries with one this absurd and random.

Thank you as always for reading. Stay tuned for more seriousness, wacky and zany fun, and most importantly...the supporting of Fixedfront Valley. Enjoy your day, be blessed, and be free...

OK, I had an afterthought (I guess I couldn't shy away from the serious stuff totally): So in the midst of all this randomness, I've realized between the time of publishing this entry and brushing my teeth that God is never random. Although our understanding of life may sometimes propel us to think otherwise, His will for each and everyone of us does not depend on "luck," nor does it ever fashion itself to the chaffs that are easily swayed by worldly winds. That is so awesome and comforting...

Psalm 1:4 and 1 Corinthians 10:13

*I actually did come back to edit this entry to add the above little blurb. Who cares?!? OK, Kan out...
